Royal Navy issued British military top-break double action revolver chambered for .455 Webley, manufactured circa 1887-1894. Features a blued finish, 4" barrel, forged round blade front sight, notched rear sight on the barrel catch, fluted six-shot cylinder, automatic extractor, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, lanyard ring on the butt and two-piece checkered brown hard rubber grips. Serial numbers match on the barrel, frame & cylinder. British proof marks are observed on the underside of the barrel and other markings include"N' & "74" on the top of the backstrap, "WEBLEY/MARK I/PATENTS" on the frame & numerous military proofs on the major components. The revolver retains approximately 60% of it's original finish showing holster & handling wear and the flats of the frame appearing to have received a cold blued finish at some point. The action is sound with solid lock-up, the bore is pristine with Metford style rifling, the cylinder measures 1.495" long, and the hard rubber grips are very good. Condition is NRA Fine. ***Antique Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
