Produced between 1942 and 1946. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block address/patent dates with the Rampant Colt in the center on the left side of the slide, and the right is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE .45" followed by the Rampant Colt. The trigger guard is marked "5/VP" on the left and "71" on the right. Checkered stamped trigger, wide hammer, long grip safety, serrated arched mainspring housing, and Keyes-Fibre grips. With a Service Model Ace conversion kit, serial number V1527, with manual in an unnumbered Black Box.

Condition: Excellent, 90% original blue finish, showing a gray patina on the grip straps and high edges, mild scratches on the slide, and scattered handling marks. Grips are very good, with some mild dents. Conversion unit is near mint as professionally restored with most of the blue. The box is fair, with the lid having detached and come apart, mild edge scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
