Greenwell, William. THE ELECTRUM COINAGE OF CYZICUS. London: Rollin and Feuardent, 1887. First separate edition. 8vo, original green cloth, gilt. iv, 132 pages; 6 fine plates. Annotated throughout in pencil and ink; detailed notes laid in and housed in an envelope affixed to the rear board; a drawing and photograph or two laid in or affixed to pages. Binding very worn, with rear board nearly detached and some signatures loose. ANS Library discard, with bookplate marked as duplicate and sold. Good; would benefit from restoration. “Kurt Regling from E.P. Warren in memory of pleasant days together. 20 November 1905. Lewes House.” A remarkable copy of this still-important work. Most of the annotations are in the catalogue section of the volume, with many of them corresponding to other other publications and specimens offered in sales. Of considerable interest to the specialist. Clain-Stefanelli 2689. Daehn 4632.
