Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 18 x 14, March 13, 1922. President Harding appoints Shirley P. Cox as "Postmaster at Mobeetie, in the County of Wheeler, State of Texas." Signed at the conclusion by Harding, and countersigned by Postmaster General Hubert Work, whom Harding would later appoint as his Secretary of the Interior. Lower left bears an embossed Post Office Department stamp. In very good condition, with scattered stains, several vertical folds, and moderate overall creasing.
