Ink signature and inscription, “To Dr. Charles E. Rice, With cordial personal greetings and best wishes in a great work, Warren G. Harding,” on an off-white 7.5 x 2.75 slip, possibly clipped from the bottom of a photograph. Archivally shadow box framed with a gold-inlaid, sterling silver portrait plate issued in a limited edition by the Franklin Mint in the early-to-mid 1970s and a color portrait to an overall size of 26 x 22. In very good condition, with complete vertical separation, later rejoined (resulting in loss of a few letters; signature unaffected) and block of light toning. The signature remains bold and dark. Oversized.
