Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 15 x 19, October 8, 1921. President Harding appoints Walter R. Sexton a Captain in the Navy. Signed at the conclusion by Harding, and countersigned by Secretary of the Navy Edwin Denby. In fine condition, with a few light creases, and a uniform shade of mild toning. The blue seal is crisp and intact. Accompanied by two other unsigned commissions for Sexton, one from the Hoover administration appointing Sexton a Rear Admiral, the other a Vice Admiral appointment from the Roosevelt administration. Both these documents have creases and some light toning and foxing.
