<B>Warren G. Harding Typed Letter Signed,</B></I> "<I>W.G. Harding</B></I>", one page on U.S. Senate, Committee on Commerce letterhead, 8" x 10.5", Washington, D.C., January 18, 1916, to John A. Stewart, New York City. The letter reads, "<I>I have your very cordial letter of January 17, and appreciate the compliment you have bestowed upon me in asking that I become an honorary member of the American Society. While I have no doubt about the exalted purposes of your Society, I must ask you to excuse me from writing my acceptance at this time.</B></I>" Very fine condition. This letter was written while the nation's future 29th president was serving as a U.S. Senator from Ohio. <I>From the collection of Henry E.
