Warren G. Harding: An Early Poster Showing Him As a U.S. Senate Candidate From Ohio. Harding rose to prominence after delivering the nominating speech for Taft at the 1912 Republican National Convention. He was elected to the Senate two years later, and of course to the Presidency in 1920. Harding would be the fifth president to die in office three years later, amidst speculation that he had been poisoned by his wife, Florence, as retribution for his notorious philandering. Because they were used in a single state and were most likely to be saved, political items from the early careers of future presidents tend to be rare and highly valued by collectors. This fine poster is no exception. It measures 15.5" x 20", 21" x 25" overall, being nicely matted and custom framed.

Shipping: Framed (view shipping information)
