Four TLSs, signed either "Warren," "W. E. B.," or "Warren E. Burger," each one page on Supreme Court letterhead, with one letter dated to 1986 and three letters dated to 1989. The earliest letter, August 26, 1986, addressed to New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, with Burger explaining that he will not be able to attend to a "dinner in your honor" given that he is already attending a "meeting of the Commission on the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution"; another letter, dated May 4, 1989, addressed to Paul Clark of the Commission on the Bicentennial of the US Constitution, in part: "At the Commission meeting I stated that the success of the George Washington project, to a very large extent, rested with you, and that you had put in some very, very long hours for many months." In overall fine condition. Accompanied by one original mailing envelope.
