<B>War of 1812 General Jacob Brown ALS,</B></I> "<I>Jac Brown</B></I>", two pages, 8" x 10", September 6, 1808, Boston, Massachusetts, to Brigadier General Sumner, n. p. Brown, upon leaving Boston, sends the Governor of Massachusetts his respects via Sumner and compliments the latter on the deportment of his troops. Fine condition. Jacob Brown (1775-1828) of New York became a Brigadier General of state militia in 1809 and commanded to northern frontier of New York during the War of 1812. <I>From the collection of Henry E.
