<B>War of 1812 Era Cavalry Saber,</B></I> likely British, 33.5" overall length with 27.5" single fuller blade numbered "999" or "666" on flat edge above ricasso, wooden grip wrapped in gold wire, brass heart-shaped guard, leather scabbard with brass throat not original to sword. The grip wire is a bit loose, however is complete and intact to the eye. The sword's brass and steel elements appear to have been cleaned. Some wear to the scabbard most evident on the high points.
