<B>War Declaration Signed by Secretary of State Cordell Hull</B></I> "<I>Cordell Hull</B></I>". Partially Printed Document Signed, one page, 8" x 12", State Department card stock with the ribbons and bold red seal intact, Washington, D.C., December 12, 1941. Reads in part: "...hereunto annexed is a true copy of a Joint Resolution of Congress approved December 8, 1941, the original of which is on file in this Department, entitled 'Joint Resolution declaring that a state of war exists between the Imperial Government of Japan and the Government and the people of the United States and making provisions to prosecute the same'." Attached is a photostatic copy of the original document. Very good condition, with a fold in the upper left corner and slight age toning.
