Nimitz</B></I>", one page, 5.75" x 8" on four-star Fleet Admiral's letterhead, n.p., January 14, 1945, to Junior Fishe, Berea, Kentucky. The letter reads, "<I>Thank you very much for your letter of January 4 and for your good wishes. I am sorry that I am so far removed from the source of supply that I can not send you one of my insignia, but I hope you will like the enclosed rating badge for Yeoman, second class. With best wishes for a Happy New Year.</B></I>" With original mailing envelope. Folds and moderate soiling, mounting stains on verso.
