WANTED posters. 1) An unusual 1923 proclamation from the State of Nevada offering a $500 reward for the capture, dead or alive, for two murderers who escaped from the Nevada State Prison. Leonard W. Fristoe had killed two deputy sheriffs and had escaped from the prison by driving away in the warden's car after taking him to a local house of prostitution. Amazingly, he remained at large for 47 years, only recaptured in 1970. 2) A 1920 reward poster from Unadilla, Georgia, with an attached photo of the wanted man. Also on the poster are several receipt hand stamps from offices in the San Francisco police. Some wear and edge faults. 3) Another 1920 poster like the above from Fresno, California, with a mug shot photo attached. Handstamps from the San Francisco police are present. Some wear and edge faults.
