?Gazelle? is a beautiful original colored pencil drawing of the graceful animal in its natural habitat. This particular gazelle is a Thomson Gazelle, named after explorer Joseph Thomson. Thomson?s are native to the grasslands and savannas of the Serengeti, and are easily recognizable by the unique black stripes along their sides. This soft rendering of a male Thomson gazelle is true to its distinguishing characteristics including from its long, slightly curved horns to the coloring of its face. The light grass surrounding the animal seems to fade into the golden distance. The drawing is matted in dark green with an oval cut and mounted in a light oak wood frame which compliments the golden browns within the composition. Including the handsome frame, ?Gazelle? measures 12 ¼?x 15 ¼? and would be a lovely and affordable addition to any collection of wildlife art, or perfect gift for the animal lover in your family.
