Collector's Grade 1968 Walther PPK Semi-Automatic Pistol, with desirable Interarms marked grips, #129690A, .380 cal., 3.25'' barrel, blue finish, brown wraparound checkered Walther grips with American eagle to center right grip, and lower right edge marked ''Interarms''. Marked ''Made in West-Germany'' just below checkering on left side of grip. In original box that is numbered to the gun, with brass wiping rod, matching test target, and instructions, with one flat-based and one finger-rest magazine. Mfg'd 1968. Condition is excellent, appearing as new, with 99%++ original finish remaining. Frontstrap with a few shallow impressions, possibly from the factory. Grips with a few slight handling marks. Box with light wear to high edges and corners, but with no losses or separations. This pistol was mfg'd the same year that U.S. importation was stopped by the Gun Control Act of 1968. When import marks became a requirement, Sam Cummings, owner of Interarms and the largest importer of the era, had the grips marked and not the metal, which did not sit well with lawmakers. This rare example still retains the marked grips. Est.: $1,700-$2,250. (C& R/PPT)
