Walther PPK Semi-Automatic Pistol with Scarce Deutsche Reichspost Marking
Established in 1871, the Deutsche Reichspost was the mail service provider for German through WW II, up until it was disestablished by the Allies in 1945. Known examples of DRP marked pistols are scarce. Fixed sights, with the Walther banner, 2 line address, model markings, and "Mod. PPK" on the left side of the slide, "crown/ N" commercial proofs on the right side of the slide, chamber and muzzle, and the serial number on the right side of the frame. The inside of the slide is numbered "835". On the left side of the frame, below the magazine catch, is the "D.R.P." property mark. Checkered black plastic grips, with Walther banners at the top.

Condition: Very good as assembled, with 90% of the blue finish, showing bright high edge wear, heavier on the slide, with a gray patina forming on the front strap and mild handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
