Fixed sights with the standard maker's marks on the left side of the slide, "eagle/N" commercial proofs on the right side of the slide, barrel chamber and muzzle. Matching serial numbers on the right side of the frame, right side of the slide and the magazine spine. Ring hammer and black checkered Walther banner grips. In an article from NAPCA Auto magazine on the study of PPK and PP SS and N.S.D.A.P. pistols "Identification of Walther PP Pistols Used by The SS" by John Pearson (typed copy included), Pearson quotes the Red Booklet "SS Walther PP/PPK 1939-1944" by Dieter Marschall and the late Joachim Gortz, as listing certain serial numbered PP pistols as being SS pistols with matching serial numbers on the right side of the slide and frame, and on the magazine (all factory marked) and concludes that "Clearly the SS ordered a batch of Walther PP pistols in the 193xxxP - 194xxxP range.". This particular pistol falls into that serial number range.
