Original 1978 US vinyl pressing of *Phantom of the Opera* by Walter Murphy, the disco-classical innovator best known for *A Fifth of Beethoven*. Released on Private Stock Records, this LP continues Murphy’s signature style—blending orchestral themes with dancefloor-ready beats. Highlights include his reinterpretation of the titular *Phantom of the Opera* alongside other cinematic and classical motifs reimagined through a funky, late-70s disco lens. Cover art features a surreal, stylized depiction of the Phantom with high visual appeal for retro collectors. Jacket appears in VG+ condition with a price sticker present and mild wear. Vinyl not shown—assumed VG+. A fantastic example of the disco/classical hybrid genre.
