Walt Kelly - Original Comic Strip Art for Pogo dated 6-30-65 (The Hall Syndicate, 1965). A keen observer of the world around him, Walt Kelly never hesitated to take a well-deserved shot at anyone who deserved it, whether that was a politician, a movie star, or another cartoonist. In this classic example, Kelly directs a not-so-subtle jab at Charles Schulz and Linus, as Howland Owl comments on the habit of sticking a blanket in one's ear and sucking one's thumb. A rare example of one cartoon commenting on another, this strip measures approximately 20" x 6.75" overall, with an image area of approximately 18.5" x 5.25" and is in excellent condition.
