Walt Disney Typed Letter Signed
Walt Disney Typed Letter Signed, one page, 7.25" x 10.5", personal letterhead, September 23, 1964, to Mr. Francis L. Mosely, Pasadena, California. The letter reads: "Dear Mr. Mosely - I am happy to know that the Los Angeles Live Steamers can use my track. While I have abandoned my own railroad, I am still hanging on to my rolling stock and maybe one day I will find the opportunity to get it out and roll it on the Live Steamers' track or someplace like that. I sincerely appreciate being made a Life member of the Live Steamers of Los angeles and would like to express my thanks to all those members whose signatures were affixed to your letter. Sincerely,". Universally known as America's greatest animator of the 20th century, Walt Disney was also somewhat of a celebrity in model railroading circles. Live Steamers promote train education and were fortunate to have Disney associated with the organization. Moderate aging with a 1" area of paper loss on the top center of the sheet effecting the letterhead's title line; else very good condition with a bold signature. Also included is a 10" x 8" publicity photograph from 1948 showing Disney engineering a large model locomotive pulling several cars upon which are smiling passengers. Two areas of loss to edges.
