<B>Walt Disney Book Signed</B></I> "<I>With Best Wishes Walt Disney</B></I>". (Random House, New York, 1939), presentation copy, second printing, hardback covers, 8.5" x 11.25". Walt Disney's version of Pinocchio, based on the story by Collodi, with illustrations from the motion picture, fully inscribed on the backside of the title page by Disney with his characteristic signature. The signature is huge, measuring about six inches long and is very bold and dark. In very fine condition, the book cover and interior has some wear from use and the front two pages have one-inch strips of early archival paper along the inner spine for reinforcement. There is some slight separation to the spine and other minor detractions, but the book remains quite colorful and original. Also, the book is accompanied by a partial pencil drawing of Pinocchio on sheet of art paper that has been torn along the bottom third, affecting his legs; partial notation at right.
