“Winners will be notified after the auction ends and once all bids have been processed to determine the winner for each lot”
Scarce Walt Disney signed ''The Art of Animation,'' also signed by nine of Disney's animation artists. Authored by Bob Thomas and published by Simon and Schuster, Inc.: New York: 1958. Signed ''Walt Disney'' in bold, black 2'' letters with a whimsical underline, and countersigned by nine of Disney's original artists. This book outlines the development of animation techniques by Walt Disney and his company, with interviews and examples from classic cartoons and movies. Full of color illustrations from animated projects and black-and-white photographs of animators at work. The animators sign near photos of themselves: Ken Anderson, Xavier Atencio, Don Da Gradi, Eric Larson, Bill Justice, Tom Oreb, Bill Peet, Joe Rinaldi and McLaren Stewart. Together they helped create and animate movies including ''Fantasia,'' ''Bambi,'' ''Alice in Wonderland,'' ''Peter Pan'' and scores of others, as well as Imagineering Disneyland attractions. Original dustjacket encases volume bound in publisher's beige boards. Book measures 8.25'' x 11.5'' and runs 181pp. Boards are clean and bright and only show wear at corners. Interior is similarly clean and bright. Dustjacket shows wear and is chipped at edges, including a 1'' tear on front and 2'' x 3.5'' chip out of back; overall good. Book and signatures are near fine.
