Walnut Ridge, AR - $10 1929 Ty. 2 The First NB of Lawrence County Ch. # 11312
Although chartered in 1919 as the First National Bank of Black Rock (what a marvelous note that would have made) this bank elected to issue only Type 2 examples after it adopted this issuing title in September of 1933. A paltry four notes are known, one five, one ten, one fifty and one hundred. The fifty and hundred both represent the only specimens of their denomination known from the state, while the five and ten have never been previously offered to collectors at public sale. In fact, this note is listed in the census lacking both a serial number and a grade. We sold the $50 example from here back in January for $20,125. This piece, although just as rare, will bring considerably less. Sharp Fine-Very Fine, a most significant Arkansas small size rarity.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
