Offering this handsome victorian men's or ladies' walking stick / cane, made of dark ebony wood, sterling silver tip; handle is rolled gold (believe it is 18kt) with a wonderful intricate raised floral and arch pattern. Top of handle has engraved initials GWB. Cane measures 35 inches long, good+++ condition, no cracks in wood, finish is still very good, a few teeny wear marks from normal use. Gold handle is very nice, no major dings, gold is still very shiny and clean. Age is approximately mid to late 1800's. These walking sticks were custom made for ladies and gentlemen, depending upon the occasion, some were more elaborately decorated than others. The aristocracy usually had several in their wardrobe for day wear, evening wear, and special occasions. A very handsome walking stick for your collection and use!
