Lot of 2. 1) Eleven men standing around a mining cart. Each of them is holding either a pick or a shovel. All of them have on dirty clothes, and have dirty faces. Photograph is mounted on grey matte, both the photograph and the matte measure about 8" x 6". Stains throughout the photo, and tears along the bottom. On the reverse, "Gandi [sic] Dancers U.P. Wyoming Section Crew." A Gandy Dancer was a slang term for railroad workers who maintained the tracks. Good condition. 2) Photo measures about 6 3/4" x 4 3/4", mounted on a black matte measuring about 10" x 7 3/4". A view of mountains in the background (the reverse has a note that it is Atchee), a small mining building, a bridge, and railroad tracks can be seen. Fairly deserted area with bushes and small trees surrounding. Small notes on the reverse. Actual photo is torn at the top while matte is in good condition.
