This is a silver coated bronze sculpture of the familiar theme of the bull and the bear by artist, Charles W. (Chuck) Miller (1922- 1995). This realistic work measures 24"x 8" for the bronze, 26"x 9" on the included black marble base.

A long time freelance illustrator, portrait painter and teacher in the Chicago, Illinois area, Charles W. Miller eventually moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to follow his passion of painting Western and Native American scenes and portraits.

His oeuvre reaches from Playboy cartoons and advertising art to Native American portraits, Western landscapes and wildlife.

As a bonus, this lot also includes a 1965 edition of The Playboy Cartoon Album that contains one of Charles Miller’s cartoons that appeared in the iconic publication.
