Restricted propaganda leaflet and mimeographed file record made by the Psychological Warfare Team of the U.S. Office of War Information targeted for Burma during WWII. Titled, 'Hsenwi Safe Conduct (XA-53)'. The leaflet orders the Burmese people to flee their village if the Japanese come and to not return for three or four days after the Japanese left. 'Allied forces are driving the Japanese enemy from your land. When the Japanese retreat in disorder they will rob and mistreat you. This is a safe-conduct pass..' Dated December 1944, APO 689. File record is 12 x 7.75 inches. Leaflet is 6.5 x 5 inches. Leaflet and file record are stapled together. Minor creases, minor tears on edges, minor loss, folds on leaflet, and pencil inscription at top right.
