WWII U.S. Remington 1903A4 Z-Prefix Sniper Rifle with M73B1 Weaver Scope
This U.S. Army Model 1903A4 sniper rifle is complete with a late production Weaver M73B1 scope. This rifle has the correct offset marking on the receiver, the left side is marked "U.S. / REMINGTON / MODEL 03-A3" and the right has serial number. The rear right side of the receiver has the number "19-80-67" in electric pencil. The barrel is marked "RA / ordnance bomb / 9-43" near the muzzle (correctly without a front sight). It has stamped barrel bands, trigger guard, and butt plate along with the original turned down sniper bolt that has the small "R" markings on the underside. The smooth stock is stamped with the letter "J" in the grip area and traces of Remington proofs remain in front of the floor plate. The checkered buttplate has a trapdoor (cleaning kit included). The scope has the correct squared end scope base that is marked "REDFIELD" on the right side. The telescope is the correct late WWII Weaver M73B1 model that is correctly marked on the identification plate and the right side of the tube is marked "SERIAL NO 24675". Blued bolt, trigger guard, floor plate and barrel bands with the remaining surfaces parkerized. Complete with a leather sling.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 98% of the original factory parkerized finish with some minor thinning at the muzzle and retains 95% of the blue finish on the parts with some minor thinning. The reoiled very fine lightly sanded wood has some minor dings and scratches. The optics are fine. Mechanically excellent.
