WWII U.S. Army Footlocker Trunk
Item/Description: Vintage military footlocker, an authentic piece of World War II-era equipment, specifically designed for a U.S. Army officer as indicated by the stenciled name "Fred A. Peck" and his unique serial number. It is constructed from solid wood reinforced with riveted steel edges, a central locking hasp, and side latches for secure transport. The exterior is finished in standard-issue olive drab (OD) paint, which shows extensive authentic wear, scuffing, and paint loss consistent with field use. Historically used to store personal belongings, uniforms, and military documents at the foot of their bunks or during overseas deployment, it is now a collectible piece of militaria and a functional trunk.
