Original World War II wire photo of an informal mass for soldiers of the 56th Signal Batalion in Saint Laurent Sur-Mere, France. Information sheet stapled to photo from the Army Photographic Agency states that the mass took place in an apple orchard, on the first Sunday after D-Day. Glossy black and white photo measuring 10'' x 8'' has two staples, else fine.
