Original World War II wire photo dated 6 June 1944 of American soldiers pulling on a rope attempting to save survivors off a landing craft sunk by the Germans. According to the Army Photographic Agency information sheet stapled to the photo, the landing craft was hit on the north coast of France near Cherbourg. The 10'' x 8'' black and white glossy photo has two staples, otherwise fine.
