Original panoramic photo of the 101st Airborne ''Screaming Eagles,'' 506th C Company. Signed upon the verso by 20 of the soldiers in the unit, who also listed their addresses. The 101st Airborne, or ''Screaming Eagles'' were renowned for action at D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge, and Operation Market Garden. Many of the men of this company C were on a C-47 that was shot down on D-Day at Picauville France; all of those aboard perished. Photo measuring 25” x 7” has light creasing and fading. In very good condition.
