This is an example of a K98 rifle manufactured by Waffenwerke Bruenn, A.-G., Werke in 1943. The top of the receiver ring is marked with a waffenamt proof over "dou / 43", the left side with the Nazi firing proof and the serial number and the right side is marked with an "eagle/N" proof mark. The right rear of the barrel is marked "TE. 43 b" and the left side receiver wall is marked "Mod. 98". All visible numbers match. All milled parts, hooded blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters and mounted with a one piece pistol grip walnut stock with matching hand guard, flat buttplate and matching serial number stamped into the bottom of the buttstock. Complete with a mismatched "43asw" (Horster, Solingen) code bayonet metal scabbard and leather frog stamped "cgn/43" on the back.

Condition: Arsenal refurbished with 98% of the blue finish remaining. There is some muzzle and high edge wear. The stock is very fine with overall scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. With the exception of the eagle proof on top of the receiver, the markings are clear. The action is excellent. The bayonet and frog are both excellent. The scabbard is very fine.
