WWII Nazi Wound Badge. The Wound Badge was an award first instituted by Kaiser Wilhelm II and would be later used by Nazi Germany. The Wound Badge would be given to German servicemen and later, German civilians, wounded as a result of enemy action. The Wound Badge came is three different ranks of black, silver, and gold. Each one was awarded for being wounded once or twice (black), three or four times (silver), and five or more times (gold). The Wound Badge has the German helmet with swastika and crossed swords clearly visible. This wound badge has the black finish worn off on the right side. Pin on back is still present. Good condition.
