Reinhard Heydrich Pocket Watch. Rheinhard Heydrich was a SS official who was the Chief of the Reich Main Security Office which included the infamous Gestapo and one of the main architects of the Holocaust. Heydrich was one of the main organizers of Kristallnacht and also chaired the Wanasee Committee that formalized the plans for the extermination of Jews in occupied Europe. Heydrich was dedicated to the extermination of those that Nazi Germany saw as “subhuman” up until the very end. Heydrich was injured in an attempted assassination in Czechoslovakia and succumbed to his injuries in June 1942. Was purchased from Heydrich's daughter by Major Charles Snyder. This pocket watch has the initials RH etched in the back surrounded by a bird, a flower, and leaves. Crystal cover has a crack in it, roman numeral II partially damaged. Watch does not run but the exterior is in very good condition. Included is a certificate of authenticity. Good condition. See lots 118 and 119 for more Reinhard Heydrich items.
