WWII Nazi Model 98 Bolt Action Rifle with ZF-41 Sniper Scope
This is a very nice, original, example of a K98 rifle equipped with the ZF-41 scope. These long-eye relief scope were intended as a shooting aid to improve the average soldiers hit probability. This specific rifle was manufactured by the Berlin-Lubecker factory and is fitted the original ZF-41 scope and mount. It has the standard blade front and tangent rear sights, with the scope mounted to the rear sight block. The scope is marked with the wartime code of "cag" which stands for the "Swarovski" factory and "4634" on the scope and "duv/ 214" on the base, "duv/ 42" on the receiver ring. It has the correct WWII laminate stock with milled floor plate, trigger guard and barrel bands, matching numbers on the floor plate, a brown leather sling and a cupped buttplate. With sun guards for the scope.

Arsenal refurbished, with 95% of the blue finish, showing a brown patina, bright edges, and scattered handling marks. Stock is good, with cracking behind the receiver, light sanding with mild scratches and dings overall. Optics are dim, and the rear dust cover needs a spring. Mechanically excellent.
