WWII Nazi Mauser (S/42) 1937 Luger with Holster and Extra Magazine
This is a nice example of a pre-WWII German Luger as manufactured by the Mauser factory in 1937. The top of the chamber area is marked 1937 with S/42 markings on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with two early "eagle/63" Waffenamt proofs and a drooped wing proof. The right rear of the barrel has the droop wing eagle proof and the "eagle / 63" on the opposite. The various small parts all have the last two digits of the serial number and it is marked with Geladen and Gesichert on the extractor and safety area respectively. It has the correct walnut checkered grips with the all blued finish on all the parts. It is complete with an original WWII blue, aluminum base magazine numbered to another gun. Complete with a leather flap holster marked " E.G. LEUNER / 1938 / BAUTZEN" over a "eagle WaA 59" and extra nickel magazine with wooden base numbered to another gun and takedown tool.

Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 75% original finish with some wear on the muzzle and high edges. The backstrap has a smooth gray patina and the front strap is a mix of smooth gray and thin blue finish. The replacement grips are very good with light handling marks and sharp checkering and a chip in the upper left rear. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. The holster is fine with overall minor wear and tight stitching.
