Hans Frank Autographed Photo and Silverware. Hans Frank was the Governor General of Occupied Poland and Hitler's personal lawyer. As Governor General of Poland, he would oversee the efforts in Poland to organize, deport, and kill Jews in Poland as well as manage the concentration and death camps there. After the war, he was tried at Nuremberg for war crimes and sentenced to execution by hanging. He was hanged on October 16, 1946. The silverware all bears the eagle and swastika monogram of Schloss Klessheim (Castle Klessheim), a palace in Salzburg, Austria that was used to host guests of Adolf Hitler. The silverware has seen use as evidenced by the stains on all the pieces and has the Schloss Klessheim monogram machine incised on the bottom of the handles. There is a total of 9 pieces silverware including a serving spoon, three dinner knives, a butter knife, two dinner forks, a cake fork, and a pickle fork. The autograph is clear and distinct on the bottom of the photo, the k in Frank is slightly smudged at the top. Photo has no damage or staining. Very good condition overall.
