WWII Nazi Gustloff-Werke K98 Bolt Action Rifle with Bayonet
This is an example of a late war production K98 rifle as manufactured by the Gustloff factory. The top of the receiver is marked with the "eagle/WaA80" over "bcd" the wartime code for the Gustloff Werke at Weimar and "4" for the year of manufacture, the left side is marked with the serial number and the right side with a Nazi firing proof and the number "1". The left side receiver wall is marked "Mod 98". The left rear portion of the barrel is marked with the firing proof and "dou" with two "eagle/A80" proofs at the breech. The rifle has the mid-war pattern all milled components to include the closed and milled upper barrel band. Hooded front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 200 meters, The stock and handguard are the correct "bcd" produced laminated wartime versions and the stock has the correct single "C" proof on the lower stock area and a Waffenamt over "H" on the right side. All visible numbers match. Complete with a bayonet with serrated Bakelite handle with a metal scabbard and leather frog.

Condition: Arsenal refurbished with 95% plus of the blue finish remaining. There is some minor muzzle wear, wear on the extractor and some thinning on the bolt handle. The stock is fine with numerous minor dings, dents and scratches. The stock markings are fading, but legible. The markings are clear. The bayonet is excellent, the scabbard and frog are good. Mechanically excellent.
