WWII Nazi Gunther Blumentritt Handwritten Postcard with Signature. Gunther Blumentritt was a German general who helped to plan many of the offensives that Germany would launch in the early years of WWII. Blumentritt submitted the working plan known as Fall Weiss (Case White) for the Invasion of Poland that was used with little altercation. He also was responsible for organizing the defenses that would make up the the Atlantic Wall and the Normandy beachheads that Americans, British, and Canadian forces would have to fight as part of the D-Day landings. After the war, Blumentritt went to oversee the rearmament of West Germany for the Cold War, a move that had much controversy with the German people. Signature on postcard is clear and legible, blue handwriting is also clear and legible. Postcard is in very nice condition with no damage or fading. Very good condition.
