WWII Nazi German Leader Hermann Goering Portrait
Hermann Goering Portrait. Hermann Goering was the commander in chief of the Luftwaffe and a close associate of Adolf Hitler. He was known for his lavish taste and avid enthusiasm for the outdoors. He was the highest ranking Nazi official to be tried at the Nuremberg Trials and sentenced to execution by hanging but committed suicide by cyanide the night before his execution. He would help set up the Reichsforstschutz (Reichs Forest Protection), which was a paramilitary organization that protected the forests of Nazi Germany. These shoulder boards are green, which indicates state forestry service instead of Heer (gray) or Luftwaffe (black). The shoulder boards have no damage or loose stitching. There is also a pin of the Reichsbund Deutsche Jagerschaft (German Hunting Society). The pin has no damage. The portrait has a horizontal crease in the center of the portrait. Good condition overall.
