WWII Nazi Eva Braun Hilter Silverware Teaspoon
Eva Braun Teaspoon. Eva Braun was the lover of Adolf Hitler and eventually became his wife the day before their suicide. Braun had known Hitler since 1929 and came to be lovers in 1931. Though Hitler wanted to maintain the image that he was single and solely dedicated to his work, he made many accommodations for Braun and spent many nights with her alone, either in his vacation home Berghof near Berchtesgaden or in his apartment in Munich and Berlin. She would marry Hitler on April 29, 1945 before committing suicide together with him the next day. One of the accommodations made for Braun was custom silverware, tableware, and other items. This spoon has the EB monogram etched onto the bottom of the spoon handle, surrounded by an ornate floral pattern. The spoon has seen use as evidenced by the small stains, hasn't been washed in a very long time. The teaspoon has no nicks, dings, or dents and retains a nice shine. This spoon is depicted in the book "Treasure Trove, The Looting of the Third Reich". Excellent condition. See lots 194-206 for more of Eva Braun's items. From the Michael Clifton collection. 5.5"
