WWII Nazi Baldur von Schirach Handwritten Note. Baldur von Schirach was the Reichsjugendfuhrer (Reich Youth Leader) from 1931 to 1940. As the Head of the Hitler Youth, he was responsible for preparing Nazi Germany’s youth for military service, organizing the Hitler Youth such that almost all activities had a militaristic aspect to them. After serving as the leader of the Hitler Youth, he became a soldier and was awarded the Iron Cross for bravery during the Invasion of France. He was later recalled from service and appointed the Governor of the Reichsgau Vienna for the remainder of the war. He was tried at Nuremberg and sentenced to 20 years of prison. Handwriting on note is clear and legible. Note itself is slightly yellow from age but has no damage or fading. Good condition. From the Michael Clifton collection.
