Collection of WWII memorabilia from Lieutenant Wallace E. Fore, who fought extensively in the European Theatre. With items collected during wartime, eclectic collection includes: (1) colorful poster of army decorations and insignias listing major battles in which American troops participated; (2) telegram calling Lieutenant Fore for active duty; (3) military uniform purchases; (4) two ''Stars and Stripes'' war-dated newspaper clippings; (5) a 19 May 1942 ''Confidential / War Department'' document listing rules and regulations to help protect soldiers; (6) a huge collection of 100+ colorful postcards and postcard booklets from various European cities, presumably collected while fighting overseas; (7) various personal items of Lieutenant Fore, including address books, personal letters from friends, etc. (8) a typed letter signed from a commanding officer dated 2 November 1945 to Fore reading in part: ''Camp White Tie…the Camp area and tents were found to be policed up and in good condition…'' Overall a very large, impressive collection of material from WWII. Near fine condition overall.
