The chamber is dated "1940" and the toggle is marked "42". Eagle/firing and eagle/655 proofs are present on the right barrel extension and barrel, with the bore marking on the underside of the barrel. Matching full serial number on the frame (with "g" suffix), left barrel extension, and barrel underside, with the partial serial number (28) is marked on most small components. The safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. All salt blue finish with checkered walnut grips and blue magazine with plastic base. The left side of the magazine is marked "fxo" over an eagle/37 proof and "P08" on the left side bottom with another eagle/37 proof on the upper left side.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 90% plus original blue finish with some mild muzzle and high edge wear, and the grip straps are thinning to a smooth gray patina. The grips are very fine with exception of a chip under the safety lever and some discoloration, (stains), a few minor dings. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
