WWII Luger 1939, 42-Code P.08 Pistol with Two Matching Magazines
Mauser, 1939 production, P.08 pistol with two original matching serialized magazines. The pistol has the war-time salt blue finish with blued small parts and checkered walnut grips. The pistol is complete with two, Type 2 Army magazines with blued, crimped, sheet metal tubes and aluminum bases. One base is stamped with the pistol serial number "9380/g" over an "Eagle/63" Army Acceptance Stamp and the other base is stamped "9380/g/+" over "Eagle/63". The pistol chamber is dated "1939" and the toggle link is stamped with the "42" Code adopted in 1939. "GESICHERT" is stamped in the upper safety lever position. The full serial number, "9380/g" is stamped on the front of the frame. "9380" is stamped on the left side of the receiver and the underside of the barrel. Most of the other components are stamped with the partial serial number "80". All of the visible serial numbers match. The right side of the frame is stamped with two "Eagle/63" Army Acceptance Marks followed by the "Eagle/Swastika" test proof. A test proof is stamped on the left side of the breech block.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 85% plus of the original blue finish. The blue finish on the chamber, edges of the frame and grip straps is thin and there is moderate edge wear on the muzzle and high points of the receiver and side plate. The bore is dark. The proofs and acceptance marks are clear. The grips are in very fine condition with light-moderate handling wear. Both magazines are in excellent condition
