Measuring 22" from the eyepieces to the objective lenses and weighing in at just over 50lbs, these binoculars show a rather large pair of 120mm lenses, with nickel finished sliding sun guards, a pair of metal lens covers and an iron post sight for gross adjustments. Overall finish is matte green and black paint. Eyepieces are fixed in place, with a pair of rubber eye protectors. With a swiveling adjustable pintle mount, and a green Vietnam Medical Case with a Red Cross painted on the lid, along with the numbers "6400-48019" and "8". According to the consignor, these binoculars were captured from a World War II Era Japanese battleship. With a West German made Linhof Model 166 tripod, with dual spirit levels, pan and tilt head with 19 1/2" telescoping neck and legs which can extend to 57" with adjustable balance.

Condition: Very fine, with some scattered patches of the textured paint remaining on the binoculars and much of the textured paint remaining on the mount. A lockout knob is absent from the mount, and an eye protector is torn. Optics are fair. Tripod shows 85% original finish, with wear and dings appropriate to active use.
