This is an excellent World War II Gunto Officers Samurai Sword signed Nobumitsu October 1943. The sword features a wrapped handle with white rayskin grip and gilt cherry blossom ‘Menuki’. The piece has a wonderful hand engraved brass floral gold decorated Tsuba and is in very well preserved condition. The piece comes with the original metal scabbard with brass worked pieces. The blade is a forged fold blacksmith blade by “Nobumitsu” one of the finest of the 1930-1940’s in the town of Seiki. The piece is marked under the handle has shown, and is in very good condition with a tight handle and clean blade. Measures overall in scabbard 39 7/8”L with the sword being 37.5”L with a 27”L blade.
