WWII German Sander Leinen Pistole (Line-Throwing Pistol), NVSN, 24mm opening at muzzle taking a much smaller line-throwing charge, 17-3/4'' overall length with 9'' barrel, aluminum body, steel bolt and barrel, wood grips and forend handle. Eagle-''WaA 608'' ampt markings. Used by U-boats and German naval ships using a small caliber blank cartridge to fire a weighted dart attached to rope. Condition is very good retaining approx. 65% silver paint to barrel. Scuffs and scratches to aluminum-bodied frame. Est.: $800-$1,200.
